AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST

US:

And whatever we do not forgive perfectly, do you, Lord, enable us to forgive to the full

so that we may truly love our enemies and fervently intercede for them before You

returning no one evil for evil

and striving to help everyone in You.

AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION

Hidden or obvious

Sudden or persistent.

BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL

Past, present and to come.

Palestine Cry: Al-Bushra: THE FORGOTTEN FAITHFUL: PALESTINIAN CHRISTIANS Dr Anthony McRoy

Palestine Cry: Al-Bushra: THE FORGOTTEN FAITHFUL: PALESTINIAN CHRISTIANS Dr Anthony McRoy

THE FORGOTTEN FAITHFUL: PALESTINIAN CHRISTIANS Dr Anthony McRoy

1. Origins of the Palestinian Christians
The Palestinians are the descendants of everyone who ever lived in the land, just as modern Britons are descendants of ancient Celts, Saxons, Vikings, Normans, Huguenots, Jews and recent migrants from the Caribbean and south Asia. Indeed, Palestinians are largely of Israelite stock – they are simply culturally Arabised. This is demonstrably true by observing the existence of Palestinian Christians and Samaritans, who clearly did not derive from the Hejaz or Najd. As Rev. Dr. Naim Ateek, Director, Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center, Jerusalem, has stated:

The Palestinian Christians of today are the descendants of [the] early Christians... Palestinian Christians of today are the present generation of that great cloud of witnesses to Jesus who came before them and who will, God willing, come after them until Christ comes again. They and their ancestors have maintained a living witness to Jesus and his Resurrection from the beginning of the Church, and they should see themselves dynamically continuing such a witness in the land, witnesses to the Resurrection.

This needs to be asserted over against deceitful ‘Christian Zionist’ propaganda. For example, an extremist body, ‘Christian Friends of Israel’, has repeated the Zionist lie that the Palestinians are the result of ‘large scale immigration of Arabs into Palestine from the surrounding countries that has occurred in modern times.’ Their main source for this dishonest claim is Joan Peters’ volume From Time Immemorial. CFI nowhere acknowledge that the book has been roundly denounced by historians such as Albert Hourani as a ‘ludicrous and worthless book’, and the devastating work of Dr Norman Finklestein, The Protocols of Joan Peters. CFI quote the Hope-Simpson Report in evidence of their position, clearly second-hand from Peters’ work, whereas as Finklestein observes, her references to it are ‘falsified’. Had CFI read Finklestein’s critique, they might have noticed that she regards the term ‘Christian-Arab’ as a contradiction, an ‘Arab propaganda claim’ (p. 250). The Israeli historian Tom Segev notes the origin of this lie: ‘The Zionist Organization also initiated research projects designed to prove that many of the Arabs had arrived in Palestine only recently’. However, Ben-Gurion and other Zionists originally claimed – accurately – that the Palestinians were actually descendants of the ancient Jews. The very fact that there are Palestinian Christians undermines the assertions of CFI, since they are largely not Copts, not Maronites, and obviously not Muslims!

Whereas in 1922 Christians made up 52% of the population of Jerusalem, they now represent just 2.5% of Jerusalemites. More Palestinian Christians born in Jerusalem now live in Sydney, Australia than there are remain in Jerusalem. In all of modern Palestine at the beginning of this century, Christians composed over 20 percent of the population. Today they amount to less than two per cent. Christians constitute about 500,000 of the Palestinians around the globe, there being about 5 million Palestinians. Over 50,000 Christians live in the West Bank and Gaza. There are around 115,000 Israeli Arab Christians. The biggest group is the Greek Catholic Uniates, then the Greek Orthodox, other Uniates including the Latins and Maronites (the latter mainly in the north). There are Episcopalians (Anglicans), an ancient Armenian community that was reinforced by refugees from the 1915 genocide, and there are also Assyrians, Copts, and Protestant groups such as Baptists and Pentecostals.

2. Palestinian Christian History
Palestinian Christians played a great role in Church History. The great Christian Apologist Justin Martyr (c. 100-165), who endeavoured to both bridge the gap between Greek philosophy and Christianity and also to dialogue with Jews was a native of Neapolis, modern Nablus. Assyrian Christians trace their conversion to Addai, who was a Palestinian. The world’s first monastery was founded in 190 in Gaza by Helarion. Caesarea in Palestine was the venue for an important theological study centre, a catechetical school. Amongst those who graced it were the famous theologian of the early church Origen and Jerome, the great translator of the Bible. Eusebius of Caesarea (d. 339) wrote the first major history of the Church, The Ecclesiastical History. Palestine has a long history of providing martyrs as demonstrated by Eusebius’ history of the events of the persecution of Christians by the Emperor Diocletian entitled The Martyrs of Palestine.

Palestinian Christians suffered persecution and the destruction of churches again in 614-628 when the Persians captured Palestine from the Byzantine Empire. The Persians set up an self-governing Jewish polity which helped implement this policy. The Byzantine conquest was short-lived, for the Arab Muslims captured Jerusalem in 637. Sophronius, the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem, handed the keys of the city to Caliph Umar. The Caliph promised religious liberty, security and access to the holy places. Christians were exempted from paying taxes. The Palestinians were gradually culturally Arabised, but Islam did not become the majority religion until the 13th century. During the Crusades, Palestinian Christians fought against the invaders alongside the Muslims and Jews. Salah ad-Din recaptured Jerusalem in 1187, and restored the Greek Orthodox churches to their original owners from the Frankish Catholics.

To this we may add a modern Palestinian Christian martyr - Alex Odeh. Odeh, 41, who migrated to America in 1972, receiving citizenship in 1977, was Southern California Regional Director of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC). On October 11, 1985, a powerful pipe-bomb trip-wired to office door, killed him and injured seven others. According to press reports, FBI investigators identified three members of the US Jewish Defense League - Robert Manning, Keith Fuchs, and Andy Green - as the chief suspects in Odeh’s killing. They fled America to the extremist West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba near Hebron. Manning was later extradited on a separate charge, the extradition-terms believed to prevent his prosecution on the Odeh case. The others are currently Israeli army reservists. ADC has repeatedly met with top FBI officials during the past years: ‘We have been assured that the case has been given “top priority” and that leads … are still being actively pursued. Yet, not one arrest has been made and no one has been brought to justice.’ The National Association of British Arabs regretted that America has not pursued ‘its avowed policy of justice with equal consistency for all its citizens by its refusal to seek the extradition of the murderers of Alex Odeh. This raises the obvious question of whether justice is dependent upon the ethnicity of both the victim and the perpetrators of this crime.’ In Santa Ana, a statue has been erected to Odeh, and ADC established a ‘Humanitarian Award’ in his honour.

The exodus of Palestinian Christians began with the withdrawal of the British mandate forces and the war of 1948. Around 55,000 or 60% of the Palestinian Christian community fled or were driven from their homes, along with 650,000 Muslim Palestinians. As Israel occupied West Jerusalem it was the Christian Palestinians who were disproportionately made refugees. Nonetheless, Christians have been in the forefront of the resistance to Zionist ethnic cleansing and Apartheid. The late George Habash, leader of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, was a member of the Greek Orthodox church. The academic and Arab league representative Hanan Ashrawi is an Episcopalian. The human rights activists Jonathan Kuttab is an evangelical Episcopalian. Perhaps the most famous Palestinian Christian is the Episcopalian academic, Edward Said.

The Christian villages of Beit Jala and Beit Sahour have been particularly targeted by the Israeli occupation forces. Churches have been desecrated, as happened recently at Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity [Most blessed holy place of the first Christmas and the first Christians, an older Israelite man named Joseph and his young betrothed virginal bride, an Israelite maiden named Mary who supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit nine months before and gave birth to Our Lord Jesus Christ on the first Christmas - Joseph and Mary and foremost the Christ Child Himself were the first dry martyrs when they fled into Egypt when God commanded Joseph to take mother and Child and to do so when Herod the maleficent martyred the children two years old and younger in an attempt to destroy the Christ Child - note that the Jews, like Herod, knew FULL WELL when the Christ Child was to be born as the book of Daniel ninth chapter was their inerrant guide. None of the Jews of His time denied that Jesus Christ existed and was the promised Messiah  - the ones who rejected Him simply did so because they preferred Satan to God and an earthly messiah to the Heavenly One Who was and always will be Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ - they will get their wish, the sons of belial - then and now and at all times, the Perfidous and Deicidal Jews who don't repent in this life will go to hell with the Antichrist, the Jew false earthly messiah, al-masih ad-Dajjal, and the False Prophet, and the Devil/Satan, when The Almighty Lord Jesus Christ returns from heaven with His elect angels and destroys the empire of the Antichrist and all that are part of that and casts them into hell forever with but a single word of command], where in a demonstration of Christian-Muslim co-operation between Palestinians, the church gave sanctuary to Muslim mujahideen [Editor note: "Muslim mujahideen," simply the Palestinian equivalent to what under United States law would be the United States National Guard - in recent years more and more, the Zionists have done everything in their power, especially Black Flag operations pretending to be Islamic, to turn the Muslims against their Christian neighbors.]. Zionist attacks on Palestinian Christians is nothing new. There are two books published in recent years by the Palestinian Melkite priest Elias Chacour, who comes from Biram in Galilee, Blood Brothers (1984) and We belong to the Land (1990). He confirms a story not even the Israelis dispute, but which never gets mentioned by Christian Zionists. Biram and Ikrit were two Christian villages that submitted to Israeli rule in 1948. Israeli soldiers asked them to move out temporarily, but after the armistice refused to let them return. Despite receiving a Supreme Court decision allowing their return in 1952, the military obstructed this and dynamited the entire two villages, whose land was then handed to Jewish settlements. Golda Meir, whilst Premier, rejected their right of return, (even though the Supreme Court again found in their favour in 1972), on the grounds that ‘the villagers were gentiles - Maronite and Greek (Melkite) Catholics. Their lands were now occupied by Jewish immigrants. Allowing the original residents to return and rebuild, she noted, would therefore be an erosion of Zionist values.’ Thus ‘Zionist values’ involved dispossession and anti-Arab discrimination. A proper response for Britons is if their towns could be twinned with Bethlehem, Beit Jala and Beit Sahour.

The greatest threat to a continued Christian presence has been the racist and sectarian policies of the Zionist regime which are resulting in increasing Christian emigration. Rev. Sizer has noted that the emigration rate of Palestinian Christians is twice that of Muslims, simply because they tend to be better educated, receive sympathetic treatment from Western governments or have relatives already living in the West. Muslim Palestinians are more likely to have family connections in other parts of the Middle East, whereas Christian Palestinians are encouraged by Israel to emigrate to America, Canada or Australia, where they have historically received a sympathetic reception. Consequently the new diaspora of Palestinian Christians who have integrated into Western society act as a magnet for others seeking a more secure future than possible under Israeli military occupation.

Ominously, he records a study undertaken recently by Bethlehem University revealed that a further 20% of Palestinian Christians plan to emigrate in the near future. He continues:
Emigration is, according to many, entirely a consequence of the antagonistic and repressive actions of the Israeli authorities. The bombing and then occupation of the Christian villages of Beit Jala and Beit Sahour have merely increased that flow. It is also the systematic policy of the Israeli government to remove the residence permits of Jerusalemite Palestinians when ever possible. It has become a one way revolving door that allows them out but denies them re-entry. Israel achieves this depopulation of East Jerusalem by denying or removing the residence permits of Palestinians forced to work in other parts of the West Bank or who leave temporarily to study, visit family members or marry abroad.

Should this trend continue, only the Christian buildings of Palestine will be left – provided the Zionist regime does not destroy them. The situation is not helped by Christian tourism, which bolsters the Israeli economy. This is especially unethical since the airport at which they land is Lod. Traditionally, the patron saint of Palestine, St. George, was martyred in Lydda. Lod airport is built on the site on the massacre and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in Lydda and Ramleh. I have complained to London’s Christian radio station Premier about their organising such tours that land at this airport and thus desecrate the memory of the victims of this massacre, but to no avail. It is just like the Serbs establishing an airport on the graves of the victims of Srebrenice, or Al-Qaida doing likewise at New York’s Ground Zero. Conversely, a general boycott of the regime could encourage Palestinian Christians to stay and even return.

3. ‘Christian’ Zionism
It is frequently a focus of pro-Zionist propaganda to portray the Palestinian struggle against ethnic cleansing, Apartheid and for self-determination as an Islamic plot. So-called Christian Zionist propaganda is especially keen on this. Last year I received a letter from a Christian supporter of Zionism objecting to an article I wrote in a Christian magazine about the Intifada:

May I also suggest you read the Scriptures and take your stance from there and not from Islamic adherents who hate the Jewish nation. What makes you as a Christian want to spread Islamist propanganda [sic]about God’s people?

She sent me this piece from a leading Christian Zionist: ‘The PLO is an Islamic terrorist organization.’ Which must come as news to His Excellency Afif Safieh (a Catholic) or Hana Ashrawi (an Anglican). – ‘the PLO may be secular but they are profoundly influenced by Muslim incitement and Muslim doctrines.’ How are Palestinian Christians in the PLO ‘profoundly influenced by Muslim incitement and Muslim doctrines’? If it is simply fear of Islam that explains Zionist oppression, how come Palestinian Christians are treated equally badly? Similarly, the so-called ‘International Christian Embassy to Jerusalem’ states the following:

The Islamic claim to Jerusalem, including its exclusive claim to the Temple Mount, is in direct contradiction to the clear biblical and historical significance of the city and its holiest site, and this claim is of later religio-political origin rather than arising from any Qur’anic text or early Muslim tradition...

A newsletter published in 1987, for example, listed five ways in which the ICEJ supporters could ‘come against the spirit of Islam’. Patrick Goodenough, of the ICEJ’s Middle East Digest responded to a critical report published in the Church of England Newspaper, with the following,

Corley speaks of the local churchmen who are critical of the ICEJ’s ‘political interpretations of Scripture’. Point: many Palestinian clergy have long used the Scripture to back their pro-PLO positions. They have stood quietly by as Yasser Arafat labelled Jesus ‘the first Palestinian revolutionary’ and - as recently as March - while his followers erected three crosses at a protest site in Jerusalem. We hear no church voices decrying such blasphemous abuse of the symbols of our faith by the followers of another.

Neil Cohen, vicar of Christ Church, Jerusalem, said this in a recent public debate with Rev. Dr. Steve Sizer:

Partnership of Jew and Arab is untenable in Israel... we live in an age of political correctness which claims we live in a world where all people have equal rights. I don't agree with that because I don't think it squares with the biblical record... the search for peace in the Middle East, laudable though it is, is a wild goose chase.

In his book The Uniqueness of Israel Lance Lambert, one of the best known Christian Zionists, discusses the ethnic background of the Palestinians, and acknowledges that many of are Israelite descent. However, this is not good enough for him, because, he says, they have interbred with the ‘seed of Ishmael’. Let us be clear what he is saying. Because the Palestinians are of mixed ancestry, he feels they have no right to live in Palestine. The logic of his position is that their Israelite ancestors effectively ‘demoted’ themselves by engaging in an inter-ethnic marriage, even if those ancestors were Jewish Christians who married Gentile Christians.

Christian Zionists tend to ignore Palestinian Christians because it undermines their Islamophobic propaganda. They ignore that Arab nationalism was expressed in ‘Muslim-Christian Associations’, and a leading Arab Christian, Sakakini, ascended the al-Aqsa pulpit to protest a visit by Balfour. They also ignore that Zionism was also a sectarian ideology: ‘In another incident, the editor of Do ‘ar HaYom … was put on trial for slandering the Christian religion… Hans Herzl, the son of the founder of the Zionist movement, had converted to Christianity. Do’ar Ha Yom commented that, unlike Jesus of Nazareth, Herzl’s son was at least not a bastard’, (what do Christian Zionists make of that?).

Don Wagner, a leading US Evangelical critic of Christian Zionism, denounces ICEJ without reservation: ‘Thus the ICEJ is a pseudo-Christian movement that attempts to baptize a modern political ideology with some Scripture and revisionist Christian dispensational theology’. It is noteworthy that when the Palestinian human rights activist Elias Chacour met anti-Apartheid activist Archbishop Desmond Tutu, in 1986, the latter informed the former that the situation of Palestinians was worse than that of Black South Africans – something he would not have said lightly. Professor Yvonne Haddad observes that the Israeli state insists ‘on Jewish identity as a prerequisite for citizenship ….not only bans the return of Palestinian gentiles to their homeland, but also restricts its Christian and Muslim citizens to specified living areas and limits their access to resources which are monopolized and confiscated by the state (such as education, water, and land).’ Hence, the Law of Return applies only to Jews; a Jew from London can immediately migrate to Haifa or even the West Bank; an Israeli Arab, born in Haifa, if he emigrates, can never return, even if he served in the army and was decorated for bravery – even if he saved the life of the Prime Minister.

Sizer notes how the International Christian Embassy works closely with the Israeli government, even lobbying the US Government on the latter’s behalf. Essentially, the International Christian Embassy, and Christian Zionists in general, fulfil the same role the Dutch Reformed Church performed for South African Apartheid – providing a theological justification for state-instituted racial discrimination and dispossession. Christian Zionists are the Dutch Reformed Church of Israeli Apartheid. In the Old Testament, permanent resident aliens were equal citizens - Leviticus 19:10, Deuteronomy 21:10, N.B: 24:14 – God commanded one law for both, something clearly not practised by the Zionist regime. God condemns oppression of the alien - Jeremiah 7:6, Malachi 3:5. The Covenant was for all humanity - Genesis 12:3ff, 2 Samuel 7:19. All men are descended from Adam. In the New Testament, there is a higher resolution of this – there are no aliens; Ephesians 2:11-16 - Christ unites humanity - He reconciles Man to God and men to each other.

Theological Racism – such as Christian Zionism – is a denial of reconciling work of Christ. In Christ, all are one; racism seeks to divide Man, and because of this, and because of Peter’s revelation that God has no ethnic favourites, Acts 10:34, racism is both sin and ‘Christian’ racism is heresy. In the past ‘Christian’ racism employed Genesis 9:20-25 – the curse on Ham to justify anti-Black racism, and Mt. 27:25 to further anti-Jewish racism. Anti-Arabism is the last acceptable theological racism, specifically perpetrated by Christian Zionists. Biblical texts concerning Ishmael are wrenched out of context to excuse anti-Arab oppression. Where all forms of theological racism fall is that Man is made the image of God, Genesis 9:5-6. Since Man is the image of God, to attack Man on the basis of his humanity – as racism does - is to attack God, and is therefore sinful. Christian Zionism is guilty of this, by attacking Arabs for what they are, and thus is sinful and heretical.

4. Biblical perspective on the Land
On the question of land in theological terms, it was always the will of God to dwell among His people; the Covenant formula - ‘I will be their God, they will be My people, and I will dwell in their midst’ - demanded it, and it was the purpose of the Exodus - Exodus 29:46. This place was sanctified because of theophany - the manifestation of God; this is seen in the theophany to Moses, Exodus 3:5 and to Joshua, and in Joshua 5.15, where the ground is sanctified because of the Divine Presence. Likewise, the Land of Canaan was sanctified because it was elect of God and indwelt by Him. Zion was the Place from which He reigned, and in terms of His Elect, this reign demanded and exerted moral transformation - sanctification, the Life of God, the quality of life demanded by Him.

The Promise of the Land is an integral part of the Covenant-oath, and it plays an important role in prophecy, e.g. in Jeremiah 7:7, especially when subsumed under the Earth, Isaiah 66:22, etc. The message of the Prophets is that worship must be holy and this means it must be accompanied by ethical conformity to the Law of the King, which of course, is only to be accomplished through regeneration; life in the Holy Land - i.e. in the divine Presence, which is the Holy Spirit, is dependent on this quality of Life, and conversely, the Land is the key to covenant-life in God for the corporate Body of the Elect. Indeed, the Land of Promise is thus equated with Life and the Holy Spirit: the Promise of Land is the Promise of the Spirit is the Promise of Life. Hence, in the New Testament, references to the Spirit sometimes employ the terminology of Land - e.g. Ephesians 1:13-14 (promise, inheritance, possession), or Matthew 25:46 - the righteous enter into the renewed earth - the Place of eternal Life, and the Promise is equated with eternal life - 1 John 2:25. In the New Testament, the Land is expanded to include the entire globe, and heaven is also spoken of as our inheritance. Ultimately, all of this is subsumed under the New Heavens and New Earth, the dwelling-place of ‘righteousness’ - - dikaiosyne, Hebrew tsedeqa - not only forensic conformity to divine standards, but the ‘right order’ - the Reign of God. Thus the New Earth is the Holy Land in the Final State.

The touchstone of error is the person and work of Christ. In Christ, all promises are fulfilled - 2 Corinthians 1:20, Galatians 3:16. He is the substance of Old Testament rituals and the Old Testament is fulfilled in Him, Matthew 5:17. Essentially, human beings only inherit the promises to Abraham through their union with Christ, Galatians 3:26-29, which is through regeneration and the obedience of faith. All Old Testament prophecy and its promises pointed to Christ, and depended upon Him. He is the unique eschatological Seed of Abraham, - Galatians 3:16 makes it clear that the promises were made to the unique Seed, not to the multitudinous offspring. People become the heirs of Abraham through participation in His work, v29. Since Christian Zionism dilutes Christ’s unique position this by ascribing the promises to someone – or rather a number of people – other than Jesus alone, and does so on the basis of race rather than faith in Christ alone, it is guilty of heresy.</div>

The Book Shelf - a reference collection: Decrees of the First Vatican Council

The Book Shelf - a reference collection: Decrees of the First Vatican Council

Never before has a such a circular and contradictory psuedo definition made up to suit the Romanist Latin preoccupation with their own temporal selves been foisted upon the church. It was not ever before tried and since the first "Vatican council" was never formally closed at that time, nor since, it was never declared as dogma. It could not be declared as dogma for it totally destroys every ancient creed which looks only to Jesus Christ as the author and finisher of our faith.

Nonsense from above attempt to make the "pope" into God; 1870 was the first time this was attempted to this degree, it was and always will be apostate heresy:

"9. Therefore,
faithfully adhering to the tradition received from the beginning of the christian faith,
to the glory of God our saviour,
for the exaltation of the catholic religion and
for the salvation of the christian people,
with the approval of the sacred council,
we teach and define as a divinely revealed dogma that
when the Roman pontiff speaks EX CATHEDRA,
that is, when,
in the exercise of his office as shepherd and teacher of all Christians,
in virtue of his supreme apostolic authority,
he defines a doctrine concerning faith or morals to be held by the whole church,
he possesses,
by the divine assistance promised to him in blessed Peter,
that infallibility which the divine Redeemer willed his church to enjoy in defining doctrine concerning faith or morals.
Therefore, such definitions of the Roman pontiff are of themselves, and not by the consent of the church, irreformable.
So then, should anyone, which God forbid, have the temerity to reject this definition of ours: let him be anathema."

It is reminiscent of the absurd self worship engaged in by Karol Wojtyla the Polish Jew and Cabalist and Zyklon B salesman during WWII who was later foisted upon the church as an antipope, false prophet and antichrist. At the 2002 Assisi pantheistic infidel pagan religion brouhouha that Wojtyla called together with the behind the scenes machinations of Ratzinger and others, Wojtyla had the Satanic cheek to blame the Holy Spirit, for what he did.

The only true head over the church, Our Lord Jesus Christ commanded this:

Luke 12:10 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but to him that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven.

Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit, shall never have forgiveness, but shall be guilty of an everlasting sin.

Matthew 12:32 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but he that shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come.

Take heed, to be part of this garbage is to invite eternal damnation from God. God will repay His enemies.

One Satanist "pope" to another:

green serpent to orange serpent - wojtyla to bergoglio - both are crypto jews masquerading as christians, but are antichrists and Satanists who worship the devil and will go to hell leading as many to damnation as they can

He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:

This is from Isaiah 27:1 In that day God shall bring his holy and great and strong sword upon the dragon, even the serpent that flees, upon the dragon, the crooked serpent: he shall destroy the dragon.

This is about God's justice and destroying Satan and Satan's works and minions.

If we did that in the Middle East, in other words if we destroyed the ZioNazis and their false creation of IsraHell and freed the Palestinians, and I mean by military intervention the way the John F. Kennedy had planned on using against the Jews, then there would be World Peace.

Battle Hymn of the Republic - same melody as La plus belle nuit du monde

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord:
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.

(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!

His truth is marching on.
I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps,
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps:
His day is marching on.

(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His day is marching on.

I have read a fiery gospel writ in burnished rows of steel:
"As ye deal with my contemners, so with you my grace shall deal;
Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel,
Since God is marching on."

(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Since God is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat:
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.

(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our God is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While God is marching on.

(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
While God is marching on.

He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave,
He is Wisdom to the mighty, He is Succour to the brave,
So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of Time His slave,
Our God is marching on.

(Chorus)
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Our God is marching on.

Christmas, Palestine, St. Judas Maccabeus and the abomination of desolation - the Jews in Palestine

Christmas is on December 25

Christmas is on December 25

Christ was born on Christmas. It was the very early church that preserved this date, not some invention later in the time of Constantine or whatever. The ridiculous idea that sheep could not have been outside at that time of year in the low hills and the Mediterranean latitudes is laughable. Sheep in the Rocky Mountains of the United States survive quite well outside night and day in the very middle of winter - farther to the North in latitude and much higher in elevation, not to mention Massachusetts and Iceland in winter. What do we think the wool coats of sheep are for or why do we use wool for our warm outside winter clothing? Because it keeps you warm day and night in the coldest winter. Pagan feasts were every day of the year. Obviously Our Lord Jesus Christ's birth would coincide with one of them - so what?! That absolutely obviously was not the reason that God would choose the day He chose for God the Son to to be born. The pagan Romans elevated a very minor Roman pagan feast - the Saturnalia, to compete
with the Christian celebration of Christmas. Christmas was the birth of Christ. It was originally called and is still called the Feast of the Nativity or the Natal Day of the Lord. All the complaints concocted by Talmudic JudenRatz Protestant Freemasonic Pharisees are meaningless.

The Holy Family's flight into Egypt is here: Rev. 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she had a place prepared by God, that there they should feed her, a thousand two hundred sixty days. … Scripture reference – Rev.: 12:14; IV Esr.: 10:3

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is opposed by the two Beasts. See Rev. 12 and 13 for the prime attack of these two Diabolic foes.

The Beast from the Sea is Antichrist Israel, The Beast from the Earth is the Apostate Vatican headed Pan Europe run completely by Freemasons with Anglo-American puppets in tow. In fine, the two horns on the Beast from the Earth are the Antichrist and the False Prophet.

It is Satan, Lucifer, the fallen angel that is behind all of this.

Different aspects of this same singular entity with many manifestations are seen in the below links:

Culture: The meaning of Christmas

Culture: The meaning of Christmas

The meaning of Christmas is Christ - mass. The celebration of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

There is NO other meaning.

In the article this is innocently stated by Father Feeney, little did he know, see the rest of what he says, it is all about to be changed  thrown away.

"The potency of this promise that Our Lord made to Saint Peter has been realized afresh during the past weeks, with the election of Saint Peter’s 262nd successor."

Little did he know, he is referring to [antipope] "Pope John XXIII." Beginning with this terrible impostor, all the truths of the faith and all canons of those truths were to be destroyed.

The real Pope Gregory XVII was actually the true Pope, Cardinal Siri elected in 1958 at the conclave then.

Pope Gregory XVII died in exile in 1989 Cardinal Siri - dead at 82 in 1989

1967, Cardinal Siri actively opposing Antipope Freemason Paul VI. Cardinal Siri is to the left standing. Montini, aka Paul 6th the Antipope is in white.

Cardinal Siri's family was put under a death threat if he publicly acknowledged his election in 1958. As a result he reigned in exile. The Antipopes were and are: John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, Benedict XVI; they are all five of them connected to the Satanic murder-sacrifice in the Vatican of a live child as an offering to Satan on June 29, 1963 in an enthronement ceremony by Satanists in the Vatican including Satanic pedophilia—rites and practices. This was put together by the Satanists comprised of Communists and Freemasons. Rome is Babylon and has fallen, the faithful are to have nothing to do with Rome, the Vatican.

The Point

Edited Under Fr. Leonard Feeney M.I.C.M. — Saint Benedict CenterDecember, 1958

In her liturgical generosity, our Holy Mother the Church gives us three distinct Masses every December twenty-fifth. They are known as the Midnight Mass, the Mass at Dawn, and the Mass of Christmas Day. During the second Mass, the Mass at Dawn, the Church presents us with the memory of a noble widow of Rome named Anastasia, the only saint who gets a “feast day” commemoration on Jesus’ Birthday.

Saint Anastasia was martyred by burning on December twenty-fifth in the year 304. Among all the Christmas Day occurrences of nineteen hundred years, the Church has chosen to remember, in conjunction with Our Lord’s Birth, only this one event: the suffering and death of a Christian martyr whose crime before men was to insist that the Holy Infant of Bethlehem is the One, True God.

This Christmas, there are many gods being proposed to the Catholics of America. They are gods with names like Tolerance and Brotherhood, and to fail to worship them has become, in effect, a crime before men. Invoking Saint Anastasia, The Point prays this Christmas for those who will be guilty of the crime, and who will insist, publicly and persistently, that the Christ Child of Christmas is the only True God, and that His Virgin Mother is that same Mother of God who, when our last Christmas is finally behind us, will stand unique and singular as the one Gate of Heaven [Editor note: that is true in that she is the only one of whom Christ became Incarnate by the Holy Spirit - Christ's Incarnation of the Holy Spirit and Mary is the one and only Immaculate Conception, that is by the Nature of Christ that He is God, sin is impossible for Him at all times - this is what the early church held and was part of what they were martyred for. Mary was NOT immaculately conceived of her mother except in the sense that all infants are innocent of sin from the moment of conception - it is later in their lives that people sin. Some of the church fathers, not all, held that even Mary sinned in small ways at times when she was older. It is true that only at the foot of the Cross of Christ were the prophecies concerning Mary given their final fulfillment and her final test and confirming in the faith were complete. She is NOT a goddess and could never be and no one may try to make of her that without offending God.].

THE PROTECTION OF CHRISTMAS

Thy light is come, Jerusalem, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee, and the Gentiles shall walk in thy light. Alleluia.
In the troubled season of Christmas, 1958, as the last strongholds of our civilization falter before the Jewish siege, let all who are about to despair consider the above words. They are of an antiphon in the Christmastime liturgy of the Catholic Church, and they offer a needed reminder. Though we must not forget that the Jews have rejected the Incarnate God, we must also remember — with thanksgiving and the chanting of alleluias — that God has likewise cast off the Jews, and established His new and eternal covenant with us Gentiles.“A Child is born to us, a Son is given to us,” is the jubilant shout of Catholics at Christmas. To the Jews, it is a taunt, notifying them that however much they might bedevil the Church with their anti-Christian onslaughts, her ultimate triumph over them is assured. The gates of Hell shall not prevail against her.

The potency of this promise that Our Lord made to Saint Peter has been realized afresh during the past weeks, with the election of Saint Peter’s 262nd successor. And it is especially fitting that, as a consequence, the attention of the Catholic world at Christmastime will be directed toward Rome. For, ever since the seventh century, the relics of the Crib in which our infant Savior lay have been in the Eternal City, at the Basilica of Saint Mary Major; there, each December 25, the Pope himself celebrates the Midnight Mass.

But besides being the “new Bethlehem,” Rome claims our Yuletide interest on another score. That note of exultation sounding through the Christmas liturgy, insisting we should rejoice even in these beleaguered days, has a resounding echo in the history of the Bishops of Rome. Through all the centuries, they have been the authors of a wise and effective resistance to the menace of the Jews — a resistance that has safeguarded Christendom in the past, and offers the best hope for rekindling it in the future.

* * * * *

The Catholic Church’s Jewish policy was deliberately arrived at. Centuries of contact with Jews at every level, both in and out of the Faith, taught the successors of Saint Peter some salutary lessons. The much-publicized ghetto at Rome, which the Popes maintained for centuries, was not the eccentric whim of a few conservative Holy Fathers. It represented papal teaching and papal practice that extended back through the ages of Faith to Peter himself, who made it clear in his first Epistle that the Jews were finished as God’s people, and who thus wrote to the new Christians of Asia Minor that they were now “a chosen generation and a purchased people ... who in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God.”

A compilation of papal decrees dealing with the Jews would clearly show that the Church’s legislative interest in them is twofold. First, the Jews must be constantly and enforcibly segregated from the Christian faithful, and second, they must at all times be prevented from infecting the world with their hateful and infidel doctrines. These were the two principles behind the Church’s approval of ghettos, her ban on the Talmud, her prohibitions against marriage with the Jews, her demand that Jews in Christian places be distinguished by a badge or other identifying dress, her warnings against Jews in public offices, etc.
With the final loss of papal territories in 1870, there ceased to be any Jews under the direct temporal rule of the popes. Yet, public questions involving the Jewish problem often brought the ancient Church principles into play. Thus, it is not surprising to find that the pope who was most outspoken on modern public issues, Pope Leo XIII, receives the following notice in the Jewish Encyclopedia: “He encouraged anti-Semitism by bestowing distinctions on leading anti-Semitic politicians and authors, as Lueger and Drumont; he refused to interfere in behalf of Captain Dreyfus, or to issue a statement against the blood accusation. In an official document he denounced Jews, Freemasons, and anarchists as the enemies of the Church.”

* * * * *

Rome’s traditional outlook on the Jews is currently reflected in its dealings with the Jewish State in Palestine. Amid a frenzied campaign of high pressure and propaganda, designed to persuade the world that Jewish usurpation of the Holy Land is the nicest thing that could have happened to the place, the Vatican has been notably unmoved. And it has been so despite the fact that vast numbers of conspicuous Catholics (Americans leading the pack) have not only swallowed but are publicly regurgitating the pro-Zionist line. The Church’s mind has been made up on the matter since the days when Theodore Herzl, “the father of Zionism,” decided to call on Saint Pius X. Herzl hoped to get a papal blessing on his scheme for setting up a Jewish homeland. But the Holy Father told him flatly, “We are unable to favor this movement ... The Jews have not recognized Our Lord; therefore, we cannot recognize the Jewish people.”
And despite continual coaxings by Jewish leaders and their friends, the Vatican has refused to this day to give official recognition to the Jewish State in Palestine.

There have, however, been papal emissaries in the Holy Land during the last decade. They have gone, not to promote cordial relations between Rome and Tel Aviv, but simply to care for the interests of the Church and her children. They have gone to see how Catholics are harassed and discriminated against by the Jewish government. They have gone to see the wreckage and desecration of Catholic shrines and institutions by the Jewish army. And they have announced plainly to a heedless world what they have seen.

One of the earliest of these Vatican observers was Archbishop Arthur Hughes, who summarized his findings with the charge that there is a “deliberate Jewish effort to decimate the Arabs and to destroy Christianity in Palestine.”

One of the most recent observers is Monsignor Raymond Etteldorf, of the Vatican’s Sacred Congregation for the Oriental Church. In his book,The Catholic Church in the Middle East, which has just been published, he reports that Catholics living in the Jewish State are being gradually forced out. They find it difficult to get employment, even harder to set up their own businesses. Most important, the number of priests has been so drastically reduced through impositions of the Jewish government that almost half the parishes are now untended.

* * * * *

It is a troubled time, this season of Christmas, 1958. Our Lord’s Holy Land is in the keeping of His crucifiers. And that outrage is not the extent, but only the epitome, of the evil we are facing.

When Our Lady appeared to the children of Fatima, she told them that the people of all nations would have to suffer great afflictions if they did not turn to her. “But in the end,” she told the children, “My Immaculate Heart will triumph.”

Eventually, after whatever terrors and desolations may be in store for us, the world will listen, thankfully, to the message of the Catholic Faith — that Faith which looks for its ultimate protection to the Bishop of Rome, and finds its most joyful celebration in the festival of Christmas.

Traditional Catholic Prayers: Christmas Lesson Two

CHRISTMAS LESSON

Traditional Catholic Prayers: Christmas Lesson Two

Christmas Lesson One

Traditional Catholic Prayers: Christmas Lesson Two

Ez:1:
1 ¶ Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, when I was in the midst of the captives by the river Chobar, the heavens were opened, and I saw the visions of God.
2 On the fifth day of the month, the same was the fifth year of the captivity of king Joachin,
3 The word of the Lord came to Ezechiel the priest the son of Buzi in the land of the Chaldeans, by the river Chobar: and the hand of the Lord was there upon him.
4 ¶ And I saw, and behold a whirlwind came out of the north: and a great cloud, and a fire infolding it, and brightness was about it: and out of the midst thereof, that is, out of the midst of the fire, as it were the resemblance of amber:
5 And in the midst thereof the likeness of four living creatures: and this was their appearance: there was the likeness of a man Who is Jesus Christ (The Resurrection – David) in them.
6 Every one had four faces, and every one four wings.
7 Their feet were straight feet, and the sole of their foot was like the sole of a calf's foot, and they sparkled like the appearance of glowing brass.
8 And they had the hands of a man Who is Jesus Christ (The Ascension - Daniel) under their wings on their four sides: and they had faces, and wings on the four sides,
9 And the wings of one were joined to the wings of another. They turned not when they went: but every one went straight forward.
10 And as for the likeness of their faces: there was the face of a man Who is the Lord Jesus Christ, God the Immortal Son (The Gospel of Christ – Abraham), and the face of a lion Which is the royal authority, might, power of Jesus Christ through Whom all creation has been created (John – Adam) on the right side of all the four: and the face of an ox Which is the Kenosis (His emptying out of Himself) of Jesus Christ for our recreation and salvation in Him (Luke – Noah), on the left side of all the four: and the face of an eagle Which is the divine spark of conscience of Jesus Christ the Word of God in us (Mark – Everlasting Gospel) over all the four.
11 And their faces, and their wings were stretched upward: two wings of every one were joined, and two covered their bodies:
12 And every one of them went straight forward: whither the impulse of the spirit was to go, thither they went: and they turned not when they went.
13 And as for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like that of burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps. This was the vision running to and fro in the midst of the living creatures, a bright fire, and lightning going forth from the fire.
14 And the living creatures ran and returned like flashes of lightning.
15 ¶ Now as I beheld the livingcreatures, there appeared upon the earth by the living creatures one wheel with four faces.
16 And the appearance of the wheels, and the work of them was like the appearance of the sea: and the four had all one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the midst of a wheel.
17 When they went, they went by their four parts: and they turned not when they went.
18 The wheels had also a size, and a height, and a dreadful appearance: and the whole body was full of eyes round about all the four.
19 And, when the living creatures went, the wheels also went together by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels also were lifted up with them.
20 Whithersoever the spirit went, thither as the spirit went the wheels also were lifted up withal, and followed it: for the spirit of life was in the wheels.
21 When those went these went, and when those stood these stood, and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up together, and followed them: for the spirit of life was in the wheels.
22 And over the heads of the living creatures was the likeness of the firmament, the appearance of crystal terrible to behold, and stretched out over their heads above.
23 And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other, every one with two wings covered his body, and the other was covered in like manner.
24 And I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, as it were the voice of the most high God: when they walked, it was like the voice of a multitude, like the noise of an army, and when they stood, their wings were let down.
25 For when a voice came from above the firmament, that was over their heads, they stood, and let down their wings.
26 ¶ And above the firmament that was over their heads, was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of the sapphire stone, and upon the likeness of the throne, was the likeness of the appearance of a man Who is Jesus Christ God the Son Incarnate the only Mediator between God and man (Matthew – Moses) above upon it.
27 And I saw as it were the resemblance of amber as the appearance of fire within it round about: from his loins and upward, and from his loins downward, I saw as it were the resemblance of fire shining round about.
28 As the appearance of the rainbow when it is in a cloud on a rainy day: this was the appearance of the brightness round about.

No other feast, not even Easter, was more solemnly proclaimed by the Holy Catholic Church than that of Christ's birth. The dates given in this entry, composed in the 16th century, are historically correct and verifiable. The announcement proclaims the Truth. (The small difference between the Eastern and Western dates is not important.)
"In the 5199th year of the creation of the world, from the time when God in the beginning made out of nothing the heavens and the earth; the 2957th year after the flood; the 2015th year from the birth of Abraham; the 1510th year from Moses and the going-out of the people of Israel from Egypt; the 1032nd year from the anointing of David king; in the 65th week according to the prophecy of Daniel; in the 194th olympiad; the 752nd year from the foundation of the city of Rome; the 42nd year of the rule of Octavian Augustus, all the earth being at peace, in the sixth age of the world: Jesus Christ, the eternal God and Son of the eternal Father, willing to consecrate the world by His most merciful coming, being conceived by the Holy Ghost and nine months having passed since His conception, was born in Bethlehem of Juda of the Virgin Mary, being made man.
THE BIRTHDAY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST ACCORDING TO THE FLESH."
Commenting on this wonderful feastday, Butler's Lives of the Saints continues with the following reflections.
"Christ's life is the gospel reduced to practice. He instructs us at His very birth, beginning first to practice, then to preach. The manger was His first pulpit, and from it He teaches us the cure of our spiritual maladies. He came among us to seek our miseries, our poverty, our humiliation, to repair the dishonor our pride had offered to the Godhead, and to apply a remedy to our souls. And He chose a poor mother, a little town, a stable. He who adorns the world and clothes the lilies of the field beyond the majesty of Solomon is wrapped in clouts and laid in a manger. This He chose to be the very sign of His identity. `This shall be a sign to you', said the angel to the shepherds. `You shall find the child wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a manger.' It is a powerful instruction.
'The grace of God our Saviour hath appeared to all men, instructing us', says the Apostle,`all men, the rich and the poor, the great and the small, all who desire to share His grace and His kingdom, instructing us in the first place in humility.' What is the whole mystery of the Incarnation but the most astonishing humbling of the Deity? To expiate our pride the eternal Son of God divests Himself of His glory and takesthe form of man in his every circumstance save sin. Who would not think that the whole creation would be overwhelmed with the glory of His presence and tremble before Him? But nothing of this was seen. `He came not', says St. John Chrysostom, `so as to shake the world at the presence of majesty; not in thunder and lightning as on Sinai; but He came quietly, no man knowing it. "`

Traditional Catholic Prayers: Christmas Lesson One

Traditional Catholic Prayers: Christmas Lesson One

The blessed light of Saints above,
Sweet hope of mortals here below,
Art thou, O Jesu, who the love
Of human home and hearth didst know.

O Mary, thou art full of grace,
Who careth for Jesus with tender love,
And kissed his blessed, smiling face
Whilst in thine arms he took his rest.

O Joseph, thou of all our race
Elected wast to guard the fame
Of Mary, Virgin full of grace,
And give her Son a father's name.

O Mary! Joseph! holy twain
From Jesse's root and David's seed,
Who ushered in salvation's reign,
Help all who at Christ's altars plead.

The sun declineth towards the west,
And dusk of night is drawing near,
O take to God the heart's behest
Of each and all who linger here.

Sweet home of Nazareth, in thee
All grace and virtue can we see;
Lord, grant each Christian home to be,
Like thine, a holy family.

Praise God, who served, whilst here on earth,
Joseph, and her who gave him birth;
Whom with the Father, we adore,
And Holy Spirit, for evermore. Amen.

The Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ

Christmas!

The fast prior to the feast of our Lord Jesus Christ’s Nativity in the ancient Church was six weeks in the East and six weeks in St. Ambrose’s liturgical tradition in the West as well. The importance of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ cannot be overstated. As is apparent below absolutely linked to that is the Church’s confession of literal creation. God literally did just what He said and in that is alone the true revelation of God and His Christ and the only salvation which is in the true Christ Jesus and not some evolutionary cosmic Gnostic pseudo-Christ which is actually the Antichrist and damnation.
In the East the time is reckoned thusly.
The 532-year cycle is calculated from the creation of Adam, which, as we know, took place on Friday, March 1, 5508 B.C. - the base date on which the entire calendar system of the Orthodox Church is based.

And from the traditional liturgy going back centuries in the West, on the feast of the Nativity.

"In the 5,199th year of the creation of the world, from the time when God in the beginning made out of nothing the heavens and the earth; the 2,957th year after the flood; the 2,015th year from the birth of Abraham; the 1,510th year from Moses and the going-out of the people of Israel from Egypt; the 1,032nd year from the anointing of David king; in the 65th week according to the prophecy of Daniel; in the 194th olympiad; the 752nd year from the foundation of the city of Rome; the 42nd year of the rule of Octavian Augustus, all the earth being at peace, in the sixth age of the world: Jesus Christ, the eternal God and Son of the eternal Father, willing to consecrate the world by His most merciful coming, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and nine months having passed since His conception, was born in Bethlehem of Juda of the Virgin Mary, being made man.

Mt:2:
1 ¶ When Jesus therefore was born in Bethlehem of Juda, in the days of king Herod, behold, there came wise men from the East to Jerusalem,
2 Saying: Where is he that is born king of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the East, and are come to adore him.
3 And king Herod hearing this, was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And assembling together all the chief priests and the scribes of the people, he inquired of them where Christ should be born.
5 But they said to him: In Bethlehem of Juda. For so it is written by the prophet:
6 And thou Bethlehem the land of Juda art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come forth the captain that shall rule my people Israel.
7 Then Herod, privately calling the wise men learned diligently of them the time of the star which appeared to them;
8 And sending them into Bethlehem, said: Go and diligently inquire after the child, and when you have found him, bring me word again, that I also may come and adore him.
9 ¶ Who having heard the king, went their way; and behold the star which they had seen in the East, went before them, until it came and stood over where the child was.
10 And seeing the star they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 And entering into the house, they found the child with Mary his mother, and falling down they adored him: and opening their treasures, they offered him gifts; gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12 And having received an answer in sleep that they should not return to Herod, they went back another way into their country.
13 ¶ And after they were departed, behold an angel of the Lord appeared in sleep to Joseph, saying: Arise, and take the child and his mother, and fly into Egypt: and be there until I shall tell thee. For it will come to pass that Herod will seek the child to destroy him.
14 Who arose, and took the child and his mother by night, and retired into Egypt: and he was there until the death of Herod:
15 That it might be fulfilled which the Lord spoke by the prophet, saying: Out of Egypt have I called my son.
16 ¶ Then Herod perceiving that he was deluded by the wise men, was exceeding angry: and sending killed all the men children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently inquired of the wise men.
17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremias the prophet, saying:
18 A voice in Rama was heard, lamentation and great mourning; Rachel bewailing her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
19 ¶ But when Herod was dead, behold an angel of the Lord appeared in sleep to Joseph in Egypt,
20 Saying: Arise, and take the child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel. For they are dead that sought the life of the child.
21 Who arose, and took the child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.
22 But hearing that Archelaus reigned in Judea in the room of Herod his father, he was afraid to go thither: and being warned in sleep retired into the quarters of Galilee.
23 And coming he dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was said by the prophets: That he shall be called a Nazarene.

St. Ignatius (Apostolic Father) to the Ephesians

Now the virginity of Mary was hidden from the prince of this world, as was also her offspring, and the death of the Lord; three mysteries of renown,(5) which were wrought in silence by(6) God. How, then, was He manifested to the world?(7) A star shone forth in heaven above all the other stars, the light of Which was inexpressible, while its novelty struck men with astonishment. And all the rest of the stars, with the sun and moon, formed a chorus to this star, and its light was exceedingly great above them all. And there was agitation felt as to whence this new spectacle came, so unlike to everything else [in the heavens]. Hence every kind of magic was destroyed, and every bond of wickedness disappeared; ignorance was removed, and the old kingdom abolished, God Himself being manifested in human form for the renewal of eternal life. And now that took a beginning which had been prepared by God. Henceforth all things were in a state of tumult, because He mediated the abolition of death.

Lk:2:
1 ¶ And it came to pass that in those days there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that the whole world should be enrolled.
2 This enrolling was first made by Cyrinus, the governor of Syria.
3 And all went to be enrolled, every one into his own city.
4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem: because he was of the house and family of David.
5 To be enrolled with Mary his espoused wife, who was with child.
6 And it came to pass that when they were there, her days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her first born son and wrapped him up in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger: because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 ¶ And there were in the same country shepherds watching and keeping the night watches over their flock.
9 And behold an angel of the Lord stood by them and the brightness of God shone round about them: and they feared with a great fear.
10 And the angel said to them: Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy that shall be to all the people:
11 For, this day is born to you a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord, in the city of David.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you. You shall find the infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army, praising God and saying:
14 Glory to God in the highest: and on earth peace to men of good will.
15 And it came to pass, after the angels departed from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another: Let us go over to Bethlehem and let us see this word that is come to pass, which the Lord hath shewed to us.
16 And they came with haste: and they found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger.
17 And seeing, they understood of the word that had been spoken to them concerning this child.
18 And all that heard wondered: and at those things that were told them by the shepherds.
19 But Mary kept all these words, pondering them in her heart.
20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
21 ¶ And after eight days were accomplished, that the child should be circumcised, his name was called JESUS, which was called by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
22 And after the days of her purification, according to the law of Moses, were accomplished, they carried him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord:
23 As it is written in the law of the Lord: Every male opening the womb shall be called holy to the Lord:
24 And to offer a sacrifice, according as it is written in the law of the Lord, a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons:
25 ¶ And behold there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon: and this man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel. And the Holy Ghost was in him.
26 And he had received an answer from the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death before he had seen the Christ of the Lord.
27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when his parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the law,
28 He also took him into his arms and blessed God and said
29 Now thou dost dismiss thy servant, O Lord, according to thy word in peace:
30 Because my eyes have seen thy salvation,
31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all peoples:
32 A light to the revelation of the Gentiles and the glory of thy people Israel.
33 And his father and mother were wondering at those things which were spoken concerning him.
34 And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary his mother: Behold this child is set for the fall and for the resurrection of many in Israel and for a sign which shall be contradicted.
35 And thy own soul a sword shall pierce, that, out of many hearts thoughts may be revealed.
36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser. She was far advanced in years and had lived with her husband seven years from her virginity.
37 And she was a widow until fourscore and four years: who departed not from the temple, by fastings and prayers serving night and day.
38 Now she, at the same hour, coming in, confessed to the Lord: and spoke of him to all that looked for the redemption of Israel.
39 And after they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their city Nazareth.
40 And the child grew and waxed strong, full of wisdom: and the grace of God was in him.
41 ¶ And his parents went every year to Jerusalem, at the solemn day of the pasch.
42 And when he was twelve years old, they going up into Jerusalem, according to the custom of the feast,
43 And having fulfilled the days, when they returned, the child Jesus remained in Jerusalem. And his parents knew it not.
44 And thinking that he was in the company, they came a day's journey and sought him among their kinsfolks and acquaintance.
45 And not finding him, they returned into Jerusalem, seeking him.
46 And it came to pass, that, after three days, they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, hearing them and asking them questions.
47 And all that heard him were astonished at his wisdom and his answers.
48 And seeing him, they wondered. And his mother said to him: Son, why hast thou done so to us? Behold thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.
49 And he said to them: How is it that you sought me? Did you not know that I must be about my father's business?
50 And they understood not the word that he spoke unto them.
51 And he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was subject to them. And his mother kept all these words in her heart.
52 And Jesus advanced in wisdom and age and grace with God and men.

“Come ye Gentiles and adore the Lord, for this day a great light hath descended upon the earth!”

Edited Under Fr. Leonard Feeney M.I.C.M. — Saint Benedict Center
December, 1956

This Christmas men are looking to the Holy Land, and they are listening — not for the strains of “Glory to God in the Highest,” but for the sounds of war upon earth. And we might say: It is just. God long ago crashed the Temple of Jerusalem to the ground, and cursed its people, the Jews, to be forever homeless and wandering. If the world has defied this Divine judgment and supported a Jewish return to Palestine, then let the world bear the consequences of God’s righteous anger.
But this leaves a greater part unsaid. For the Holy Land is infinitely more than a geographical locality which God has forbidden to the Jews. It is, for all time, the precious countryside where God became the Child of a Virginal Mother, and where God as Man walked and taught and died for us. It is, indeed, God’s Land.

If, therefore, we are anxious this Christmas, our concern is this: The leaders of our nation have proposed that Christian boys be ready to shed their blood in order to make the Jews secure within the borders of the Holy Land. But should this happen, should Christian lives be spent to keep God’s Land in the hands of His crucifiers, the price of such betrayal will not be confined to the deserts of the East. We will be paying, in kind, on bloody Main Street, U. S. A.

THE ENEMIES OF CHRIST AT CHRISTMAS

Soon, the Jews of America will be trying once more to jostle Christmas from its place as the nation’s chief interest in late December. As elbow for this endeavor, the Jews will rely again on their festival of Chanukah — once a minor holiday but recently seized on because of its timely Yuletide occurrence and now celebrated with all the blare and bluster the Jews can produce.

Though originally set up in 165 B. C., the observance of Chanukah (Hebrew for “Dedication”) has long since lost its holy, Old Testament meaning. Thus, when Jewish leaders decided a few years back to revive and exalt the holiday, they found it expedient also to invest it with a fresh and acceptable significance. They have, accordingly, made it an annual practice to hire the principal halls in the principal cities of the country for the staging of special Chanukah pageants. These loudly-trumpeted extravaganzas (“Inspiring — Breathtaking — Spectacular”) oppose the Birth of the true Messias by dramatizing, with the solemnity of religious ritual, the birth of their own messianic empire: the Jewish state of Israel.

It is, of course, true that the Jews would have been eager to exploit any one of their festivals that was opportune in order to affront the beauty and singularity of Christmas. Yet Chanukah is especially suited for such a use — because it was on that day that Our Lord revealed Himself to the Jews as the Messias, and, for doing so, was almost stoned. The story is told in the Holy Gospel of Saint John (Chap. 10, v. 22-39):
“And the Dedication was in Jerusalem: and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple, in Salomon’s porch. The Jews therefore compassed him round about, and said to him, How long doest thou hold our soul in suspense? If thou be Christ, tell us openly. Jesus answered them, I speak to you: and you believe not, the works that I do in the name of my Father, they give testimony of me, but you do not believe, because you are not of my sheep. My sheep hear my voice: and I know them, and they follow me. And I give them life everlasting: and they shall not perish for ever, and no man shall pluck them out of my hand. My father, that which he hath given me, is greater than all: and no man can pluck them out of the hand of my father. I and the Father are one. The Jews took up stones, to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works I have showed you from my father, for which of those works do you stone me? The Jews answered him, For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy, and because thou being a man, makest thyself God. Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, that I said, you are God’s? If he called them God’s, to whom the word of God was made, and the scripture can not be broken: whom the Father hath sanctified and sent into the world, say you, That thou blasphemest, because I said I am the son of God? If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, and if you will not believe me, believe the works: that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father. They sought therefore to apprehend him: and he went forth out of their hands.”
Because it is reckoned by the Jewish calendar, the day on which Chanukah falls may vary from year to year by as much as a month. This year it is due to fall on its earliest possible date. But Jews have never been ones to let liturgical niceties stand in the way of more vital considerations, and so, the Jews of Boston (the only segment of whose plans we have heard) are making an adroit adjustment in their schedule. Their annual Chanukah pageant at the Boston Garden will be held this year, not when the calendar says Chanukah should occur, but some three weeks later, on December the twenty-third — just a stone’s throw from Christmas.

The pride of Jewish rural life is the “kibbutz,” a sort of collective farm settlement, of which there are presently some 250 well-populated examples in the state of Israel. A recent volume to swell the praises of these communes is Harvard University Press’ Kibbutz, Venture in Utopia. The following two extracts from this book provide a raw, startling picture of the Jews who today inhabit the Land of Christ’s Birth:
“In its attempt to create a better world, the kibbutz has found that it faces considerable opposition, and it has come to view this opposition with an intense hatred. Indeed, it is not unfair to say the kibbutz hates almost everybody, since it views almost everybody as an opponent. Outside of Israel, all the ‘bourgeois’ countries are hated, and only the Soviet Union and ‘People’s Democracies’ are ‘loved.’
“As for marriage, they believed — and still believe — that a union between a man and woman was their own affair, to be entered into on the basis of love and to be broken at the termination of love; neither the union nor the separation were to require the permission or the sanction of the community. Today, for example, if a couple wishes to marry, the partners merely ask for a joint room; if they wish a divorce, they return to separate rooms.”

Each year when the Church commemorates the arrival of the Magi at Bethlehem, on the Feast of the Epiphany, our priests are required to read, as an integral part of their Breviary prayers, the following homily by Pope Saint Gregory the Great:
“All things which He had made, bore witness that their Maker was come ... And yet, up to this very hour, the hearts of the unbelieving Jews will not acknowledge that He, to Whom all nature gave testimony, is their God. Being more hardened than the rocks, the Jews refuse to be rent by repentance.”
This is but one instance of what the Jews would term the “anti-Semitism” of the Church’s Advent and Christmas Season liturgy. With the possible exception of Holy Week in Lent, there is no period in the whole liturgical year which more emphasizes the bridgeless chasm separating Christian faith and Jewish infidelity.

From Advent through the Epiphany Octave, the texts of the Mass and the Divine Office resound repeatedly with that theme which is at once the fulfilled expectation of the Jews of the Old Law, and the indictment of the deicide Jews of today:
“Behold, O Israel, your king ... Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, for the day of the Lord is nigh ... It is the birth of the Christ, O Jerusalem ... The Savior of the world will be our King ... He shall sit upon the throne of David His father.”
These are the tidings of great joy which plague the Jews as sorely this December as they did more than nineteen hundred years ago. And among these tidings there is, for the Jews, no more hateful information than the exultant shouts that the Baby of Bethlehem is the true Son of David, inheriting a royal title from His foster father, Saint Joseph, and royal blood from His Spotless Mother, the Virgin Mary. It was precisely to attack this central truth of Christmas that the rabbis of the early Christian centuries concocted that unprintably-filthy version of the Birth of Christ which is now found in the Jews’ “holy” book, the Talmud. We have determined never to reprint, in direct quotation, these blasphemous assaults against the purity of the Mother of God. But that they were invented by the rabbis, for the express purpose of challenging Our Lord’s title to the Throne of David, is abundantly admitted by Jewish authorities. The Jewish Encyclopedia, for example, blithely states, in its article on “Jesus,” that, “For polemical purposes it was necessary for the Jews to insist on the illegitimacy of Jesus as against the Davidic descent claimed by the Christian Church.”

At no point in the Christmas liturgy, however, does the Church’s consciousness of Jewish perfidy becloud her joy at the Birth of the Messias. In this spirit, therefore, we anticipate the coming gladness, and leave our readers with that jubilant exhortation from the Third Mass of Christmas:

“Come ye Gentiles and adore the Lord, for this day a great light hath descended upon the earth!”
