Corrigenda to "a pure" Spirit

What is wrong with this statement "this One God is a pure Spirit?" - this is:

"a pure Spirit" concerning the nature and substance and existence of God is straight out of the Westminster confession of faith. (There are other subtle errors here but we are not dealing with them herein.)

Chapter II Of God, and of the Holy Trinity  

I. There is but one only living and true God, who is infinite in being and perfection, a most pure spirit, invisible, without body, parts, or passions, immutable, immense, eternal, incomprehensible, almighty, most wise, most holy, most free, most absolute, working all things according to the counsel of His own immutable and most righteous will, for His own glory; most loving, gracious, merciful, long-suffering, abundant in goodness and truth, forgiving iniquity, transgression, and sin; the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him; and withal most just and terrible in His judgments, hating all sin, and who will by no means clear the guilty.

II. God hath all live, glory, goodness, blessedness, in and of Himself; and is alone in and unto Himself all-sufficient, not standing in need of any creatures which He hath made, nor deriving any glory from them, but only manifesting His own glory in, by, unto, and upon them: He is the alone fountain of all being, of whom, through whom, and to whom, are all things; and hath most sovereign dominion over them, to do by them, for them, and upon them, whatsoever Himself pleaseth. In His sight all things are open and manifest; His knowledge is infinite, infallible, and independent upon the creature, so as nothing is to Him contingent or uncertain. He is most holy in all His counsels, in all His works, and in all His commands. To Him is due from angels and men, and every other creature, whatsoever worship, service, or obedience He is pleased to require of them.

III. In the unity of the Godhead there be three Persons of one substance, power, and eternity; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. The Father is of none, neither begotten nor proceeding; the Son is eternally begotten of the Father; the Holy Ghost eternally proceeding from the Father and the Son.

It is supposedly based on John 4:24. But look carefully at what John 4:24 says in the original Greek.

John 4:24 "God (is) spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." Greek: "pneu'ma o' Theos, kai tous proskunou'ntas auton en pneumati kai aletheia dei' proskunei'n."

or literally "spirit the God, and ones worshipping Him in spirit and truth necessary worship"

The meaning and emphasis is that we worship the true God in spirit and truth. It is NOT that we limit God to be only spirit. That is among other apostate infidel religions totally, per se, Hinduism, wherein among other lies, the hindu god is a single monadic spirit without flesh who is trimuti, brahma-vishnu-shiva, wherein all three are just changing modalistic personages within a time framework of reoccurring ages or universal cycles - i.e. Modalistic Pantheistic worship of the creation and not of the true God. Modalism extends or subtends from monadism, wherein all about God is reduced to one ONLY -  that is the same lie as Cabalistic Talmudic Judaism wherein Maimonides changed the shema of Moses to Yahweh Eloheinu Yahweh iahid instead of Yahweh Eloheinu Yahweh echad; in Hebrew echad is the unity of the three persons of the One Godhead within that Godhead whereas iahid is just "one" or "a" god. To include that changes the meaning to making God a god among gods, in other words "a spirit" among who knows how many others. Any number of ancient and modern heresies would also be inculcated therein. In John 4:24 in the original Greek, "o' Theos" is not "a spirit," it is "the God." "pneu'ma o' Theos," is not "a" or "the" "spirit God" but is: spirit - the God. The unity of the true God is not found in defining Him as spirit, it is found in the One Substance, Substantia or Homoousios equally possessed by all three persons, from which is known the truth of Homoousian - the consubstantiality of the Three Divine Persons of the adorable Godhead. It is true that in the relationship of the three persons to one another, the Father and the Son adore one another with a perfect love that is the bond of love of the Holy Spirit (see: Dom Grea), but that is not the same as the unity which is substance, which is a real living nature and entity the only true Trinitarian God: the true God Who alone has aseity - self existence from eternity before all of creation and to eternity unto the endless ages to come and is never apart from the three co-extant immortal Persons of His Godhead, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and Who, the Holy Trinity Adorable Unity, is at the same time transcendantly present within all of His creation, never merely part of it, and above and infinitely beyond it always from the beginning of His creation (which is the only creation, and which He alone created) unto the endless ages to come.

GOD is the Truth. The Most Holy Trinity is God and none other is God. The Most Holy Trinity is Three Persons Who are One God. These Three Persons are The Father and the Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. The Father is the fountainhead of the Trinity, the Son proceeds from His engendering in the Father’s bosom, the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father in the unity of the engendering of the Son from the Father. This procession of the Son and the Holy Spirit from the Father is immortal from before all time and creation and unto eternity never-ending. This Triune God alone has Aseity, that He is immortal without beginning and without end, self sustained in His existence which preceded all time and creation and, His existence, continues forever; God’s existence is infinite. This God is above all that He has created and transcendent in all that He has created. There is nothing apart from nor outside of God that He has not created. He created all that has been created ex nihilo, that is from nothing by His infinite power. Nothing that is created has aseity. Time is only an aspect of that which has been created by God. Time is therefore part of God’s creation. God is not limited by His creation, this includes that God is not limited by time. God is Omnipotent and Omniscient and Ubiquitos and with eternal complete foresight: Almighty and All seeing and knowing and equally present everywhere and knowing all things before their creation and all events before they come to pass unto eternity. There is no way to God but through the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity Who is the Lord Jesus Christ, in Whom alone there is salvation by His Most Holy Cross and Resurrection. Creation had a beginning but will continue unto the eternal ages to come. At the return of Jesus Christ from God the Father’s right hand in the third heaven and the just judgement of Christ of His creatures, creation will be cleansed by fire (the damned, both angels and men consigned to hell forever) and renewed with paradise restored, with the presence around God of all His elect angels and saints, and continue in this way forever.

Jesus Christ in subsuming flesh of all men, at His resurrection guaranteed the resurrection of all men and His judging them for eternity, to either the heavenly kingdom in this His then recreated universe unto the endless ages to come, or the the lake of fire which is hell, forever. 

It is the true living God who has been offended and He alone wills to be appeased only by the perfect sacrifice of His Son and by our profession of Him, Christ Jesus, from the heart with the mouth and by our actions. The time for this is only now and NOT latter.

Saint Elijah when he returns with Saint Enoch at the end of this age, will witness to those Jews who have ears to hear, but the "nation" of Israel was visited as promised by God 2,000 years ago by the true Messiah who is Jesus Christ, there will not be another national appearing of the Messiah to Israel and fulfillment of the covenant of God with them - that was one time ONLY. The temple veil was ripped in two at the One Time Only Crucifixion of Christ, the final covenant is given then. There will not be another. The perfidious and Deicidal nation of the Jews rejected the Lord then and at the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D., they were forever cast off as a nation then and will never be covenanted with by God as a nation again. Individual Jews are another case, they have this life, as do all men, to come to Christ and confess Him from the heart and with the mouth and with their actions unto salvation. When Jesus Christ says in Matthew 23:39 For I say to you, you shall not see me henceforth till you say: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. He is referring to those Jews who confessed Him then (such as Ss. Peter, John and Paul and the rest of the Apostles, not including Judas) and Our Lord Jesus Christ is also referring to the forty years from His death and resurrection until the destruction of Jerusalem given as the last period for the national repentance of Israel - which except for the faithful church which included gentiles of course, the entire nation of Israel rejected. He is also referring to those individual Jews who will be converted in the future by Saint Elijah to Christ. Then the two witnesses of God, Saint Enoch and Saint Elijah are martyred.

Then will Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ return from heaven with all of His elect angels in flaming fire and raise and judge all men that ever lived.
