The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place ["soon" meaning starting then and continuing until the Return of Christ - see Matthew 28:20 ...behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.]; and He sent and communicated by His angel to His bond-servant John,
Matthew 28, verse 16-20
16 And the eleven disciples went into Galilee, unto the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 And seeing him they adored: but some doubted.
18 And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.
19 Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. [note: baptism commanded]
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.
NOTE: the power belongs to Christ alone. Also note: the eleven were appointed (Judas without possibility of forgiveness had fallen and Paul had not yet been called and Matthias had not yet been chosen to replace Judas); the eleven were appointed but not Peter over them.

Apocalypse (Revelation) Chapter 18
1 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illumined with his glory.
2 And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird.
3 "For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality."
4 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues;
5 for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
6 "Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her.
7 "To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, 'I sit a queen and I am not a widow, and will never see mourning.' Note 1
8 "For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong.
9 "And the kings of the earth, who committed immorality and lived sensuously with her, will weep and lament over her when they see the smoke of her burning,
Note 1 - eternal Rome is only a pagan concept, NOT Christian and NOT Catholic. The time of Rome's physical burning is approaching very fast.
Of all the early bishops of Rome (3 Centuries before the term "Pope" as the ecclesial authority and patriarchate of Rome was used of ANY of them, St. Clement, bishop of Rome 92 - 101 A.D., a pre-Nicene church father and bishop of Rome, wrote to the Corinthians telling them he did not have the authority to change what their own election of their own bishop had established and no one else had the authority to do so either.)
Chapter I.—The salutation. Praise of the Corinthians before the breaking forth of schism among them.
The Church of God which sojourns at Rome, to the Church of God sojourning at Corinth, to them that are called and sanctified by the will of God, through our Lord Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, from Almighty God through Jesus Christ, be multiplied.Owing, dear brethren, to the sudden and successive calamitous events which have happened to ourselves, we feel that we have been somewhat tardy in turning our attention to the points respecting which you consulted us; 3 and especially to that shameful and detestable sedition, utterly abhorrent to the elect of God, which a few rash and self-confident persons have kindled to such a pitch of frenzy, that your venerable and illustrious name, worthy to be universally loved, has suffered grievous injury. 4 For who ever dwelt even for a short time among you, and did not find your faith to be as fruitful of virtue as it was firmly established? 5 Who did not admire the sobriety and moderation of your godliness in Christ? Who did not proclaim the magnificence of your habitual hospitality? And who did not rejoice over your perfect and well-grounded knowledge? For ye did all things without respect of persons, and walked in the commandments of God, being obedient to those who had the rule over you, and giving all fitting honour to the presbyters among you. Ye enjoined young men to be of a sober and serious mind; ye instructed your wives to do all things with a blameless, becoming, and pure conscience, loving their husbands as in duty bound; and ye taught them that, living in the rule of obedience, they should manage their household affairs becomingly, and be in every respect marked by discretion.
Chapter V.-No Less Evils Have Arisen from the Same Source [schism and assuming authority not given directly by Christ] in the Most Recent Times. The Martyrdom of Peter and Paul.
But not to dwell upon ancient examples, let us come to the most recent spiritual heroes. Let us take the noble examples furnished in our own generation. Through envy and jealousy, the greatest and most righteous pillars [of the Church] have been persecuted and put to death. Let us set before our eyes the illustrious apostles. Peter, through unrighteous envy, endured not one or two, but numerous labours and when he had at length suffered martyrdom, departed to the place of glory due to him. Owing to envy, Paul also obtained the reward of patient endurance, after being seven times thrown into captivity, compelled to flee, and stoned. After preaching both in the east and west, he gained the illustrious reputation due to his faith, having taught righteousness to the whole world, and come to the extreme limit of the west, and suffered martyrdom under the prefects. Thus was he removed from the world, and went into the holy place, having proved himself a striking example of patience.
[Note: Paul was the teacher of the whole world and Peter and Paul the object of persecution by the Jews, see Gospel of John 9:22 ... because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had already agreed among themselves, that if any man should confess him to be Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
And see:
Gospel of John 15:18 If the world hate you, know ye, that it hath hated me before you.
And see:
Gospel of John 10:24 The Jews therefore came round about him, and said to him: How long dost thou hold our souls in suspense? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.
25 Jesus answered them: I speak to you, and you believe not: the works that I do in the name of my Father, they give testimony of me.
26 But you do not believe, because you are not of my sheep.
27 My sheep hear my voice: and I know them, and they follow me.
28 And I give them life everlasting; and they shall not perish for ever, and no man shall pluck them out of my hand.
29 That which my Father hath given me, is greater than all: and no one can snatch them out of the hand of my Father.
30 I and the Father are one.
The Jews led all the persecutions of the early Church outwardly or behind the scenes beginning with their crime of Deicide and based on their crime of Perfidy, just as they do today. There is no scripture nor command of God that the nation of the apostate Jews will ever turn to Christ now that they have rejected Him. Individual Jews do come to Christ, but that is rare. They are of course welcome to come to Him as are all men. The time of a particular people being chosen was ended forever and ever more at the exact time that the Temple veil was ripped in two at the Crucifixion of Christ.]
Chapter XLVII.-Your Recent Discord is Worse Than the Former Which Took Place in the Times of Paul.
Take up the epistle of the blessed Apostle Paul. What did he write to you at the time when the Gospel first began to be preached? Truly, under the inspiration of the Spirit, he wrote to you concerning himself, and Cephas, and Apollos, because even then parties had been formed among you. But that inclination for one above another entailed less guilt upon you, inasmuch as your partialities were then shown towards apostles, already of high reputation, and towards a man whom they had approved. But now reflect who those are that have perverted you, and lessened the renown of your far-famed brotherly love. It is disgraceful, beloved, yea, highly disgraceful, and unworthy of your Christian profession, that such a thing should be heard of as that the most stedfast and ancient Church of the Corinthians should, on account of one or two persons, engage in sedition against its presbyters. And this rumour has reached not only us, but those also who are unconnected with us; so that, through your infatuation, the name of the Lord is blasphemed, while danger is also brought upon yourselves.
NOTE: "And this rumour has reached not only us, but those also who are unconnected with us;" all of what St. Clement, bishop of Rome, says about Apostolic succession and the office of bishop centers on each locality and is not centered on Rome; Jerusalem, NOT Rome, was the mother of all the churches. "those also who are unconnected with us" means the Christian churches elsewhere, all of them in spiritual communion with one another, not in any earthly bishop, but only in the Head Who is alone Our Lord Jesus Christ - born, taught, was Crucified died and buried and Resurrected in, and Ascended from, and Returning from Heaven to, the Holy Land - not Rome, and Who, Our Lord Jesus Christ, will judge all men, the good and the bad.
Rome is disintegrating completely due to the Jew instigated Apostasy there and because it was never the center of the church, only Christ is the center of the church. Rome now is only the center of the Antichrist/False Prophet Great Apostasy and will remain that way until its final destruction and burning.
The temporary ecclesial center that the council of Nicea allowed to Rome was conditional upon Rome not departing from the faith and no one bishop claiming to be Universal over all others. All of that has already been destroyed permanently. It is awaiting the unrelenting judgement of God.
