The New Age is actually the same temptation that befell Adam and Eve in the Garden, when the serpent which is the Devil, Satan, offered them the false promise of achieving godhood on their own. For succumbing to this, Adam's sin was the cause of death in the whole world to all men. The promise of the Messiah was given at that time to Adam by God. Jesus Christ is the Messiah, in whom alone there is salvation and eternal life and adoption of men as sons of the true God. His salvation of those who believe in Him is by the sole means of His Kenosis (see: The Catholic Creed: Christ's Kenosis). Profession of Christ is by the ancient means as shown in the oldest creed of the Church (see: The Catholic Creed: The Creed of the Whole and Undivided Church as Given by the Apostles) and by Baptism which is commanded by Christ (see: Traditional Catholic Prayers: Baptism).





The so called New Age is just the same apostasy that Adam and Eve participated in, begun again, after Noah's salvation after the flood that destroyed the wicked men of Noah's day.

2. And there is therefore in this beast, when he comes, a recapitulation made of all sorts of iniquity and of every deceit, in order that all apostate power, flowing into and being shut up in him, may be sent into the furnace of fire. Fittingly, therefore, shall his name possess the number six hundred and sixty-six, since he sums up in his own person all the commixture of wickedness which took place previous to the deluge, due to the apostasy of the angels. For Noah was six hundred years old when the deluge came upon the earth, sweeping away the rebellious world, for the sake of that most infamous generation which lived in the times of Noah. For that image, taken as a whole, was a prefiguring of this man's coming, decreeing that he should undoubtedly himself alone be worshipped by all men. Thus, then, the six hundred years of Noah, in whose time the deluge occurred because of the apostasy, and the number of the cubits of the image for which these just men were sent into the fiery furnace, do indicate the number of the name of that man in whom is concentrated the whole apostasy of six thousand years, and unrighteousness, and wickedness, and false prophecy, and deception; for which things' sake a cataclysm of fire shall also come [upon the earth].

The people of the United States have shown themselves to be 'lemmings' in this, it is true.

Keep in mind that this dates from 1992 and Fr. Martin's journey in this life was not yet nearing its completion. He had realizations left to make and there were still chimeras that needed to be removed from his eyesight. He was capable of getting the exact placement of a scriptural event (Luke 22:31) in a chronologically incorrect place when speaking off the cuff (but see Luke 24 for the probable reference he most certainly meant). In relation to that, he makes explicit and correct reference to Christ's Resurrection and Ascension and His Second Coming. Most importantly he repeats the absolute assurance that Our Lord Jesus Christ gives us that Our Saviour Jesus Christ has overcome all evil and the promise of that is to everyone that remains loyal to Him.
